- Current medications, supplements, and allergies
- Factors that may be contributing to your concern
- The location, appearance, and duration of your symptoms
- Your footwear habits and any exposure to shared damp areas
Possible treatment options
Treatment options may include prescription or nonprescription therapies when clinically appropriate. Your provider will determine whether a treatment is safe and appropriate after reviewing your health history and completing a clinical evaluation. Prescriptions are never guaranteed.

When laboratory testing or in-person care may be needed
Some concerns may require laboratory testing, imaging, an in-person examination, or referral to a specialist. Your provider will advise you if your situation is not appropriate for virtual care.
Spreading infection, severe cracking, or signs of a secondary bacterial infection may require in-person examination.
When to seek urgent or emergency care
First Priority Clinic does not provide emergency medical services. If you experience a medical emergency — such as difficulty breathing, chest pain, severe bleeding, confusion, or signs of a stroke — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Not at this time. First Priority Clinic currently provides telehealth services to eligible patients located in Illinois.
Is athlete's foot contagious?
It can spread to other areas or to other people through shared damp surfaces or direct contact. Your provider can discuss prevention alongside any treatment plan.
