After more than 25 years of caring for patients across multiple healthcare settings, Charlene Haymond recognized that too many people delayed treatment because of transportation, scheduling conflicts, cost, childcare responsibilities, and limited provider availability.
First Priority Clinic was created to remove those barriers by delivering compassionate, evidence-based healthcare directly to patients through secure telehealth technology.

Charlene Haymond, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of healthcare experience caring for patients across newborn through geriatric populations. As Founder of First Priority Clinic, PLLC, she created a telehealth practice dedicated to making affordable, compassionate, evidence-based care accessible to patients throughout Illinois — meeting people where they are and removing the barriers that keep too many from getting the care they need.
The inspiration behind the clinic
Throughout her healthcare career, Charlene repeatedly encountered patients who delayed or struggled to access care because of transportation, demanding work schedules, caregiver responsibilities, distance, and limited provider availability. Those experiences helped inspire First Priority Clinic — a practice designed to bring compassionate healthcare closer to patients through telehealth.
